Caduet is usually recommended for curing patients suffering from chest pain and high levels of cholesterol and high blood pressure. The drug is useful in other cases if it is prescribed by the doctor.

Caduet represents a combination of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (atorvastatin) and a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) and. Each component has its effect. Amlodipine is aimed at widening blood vessels so that to reduce high blood pressure and chest pain. Atorvastatin by its actions lowers the risk for heart attack and chest pain by decreasing "bad" cholesterol and raising "good" cholesterol in your blood.
